Bio

Ya’Sheaka Williams is Board Certified in Workers’ Compensation by the Florida Bar. Board certification demonstrates a lawyer’s significant commitment to and experience in a specialty field of law. Board-certified lawyers have dedicated themselves to a heightened level of excellence through character, professionalism, ethics, and credibility in the practice of law.

Ya’Sheaka is a graduate of Stetson University College of Law and earned her JD in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Conflict Resolution and Legal Studies from Brenau University Women’s College in 2000.
Ya’Sheaka has been a member of the Florida Bar since September 2003.

Mrs. Williams represents employers, PEO’s, carriers, and third-party administrators regarding all Workers’ Compensation matters. Ya'Sheaka provides personalized representation to each client, based on its needs and objectives. She is an educator, advocate, and communicator. Mrs. Williams is a recipient of Martindale Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating; AV Preeminent is a significant rating accomplishment – a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank her at the highest level of professional excellence. Florida Super Lawyers magazine also named her a Rising Star in the areas of Insurance Coverage and Workers Compensation respectively. Only five percent of lawyers in the state of Florida are named to Super Lawyers. Mrs. Williams received Rising Stars designation during 2012 - 2017. She was selected for this honor subsequent to undergoing an evaluation of many different factors including peer recognition and professional achievement.

She is a certified Florida Department of Insurance instructor in Florida Workers’ Compensation Insurance, and provides continuing education courses upon request.

Ya'Sheaka manages a staff of attorneys and professionals who are committed to providing high level representation and legal services focused on solutions. She is responsible for mentoring associates towards their work related goals.

She serves as Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation section of the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
