A Miami native and daughter of Cuban immigrants, Dr. Deben graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School and earned a full Presidential Honors Scholarship to The George Washington University. There, she completed both her undergraduate and medical degrees. She later served seven years in the United States Navy through the Health Professions Scholarship Program, including a deployment supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Dr. Deben credits her military service for shaping the way she practices medicine today. She brings urgency, accuracy, and clarity to every patient interaction.
