The Person of the Year Award is given to individuals who surpass expectations in their responsibilities, demonstrate a positive attitude, and act as exemplary team players. Eunice exemplifies these qualities, making her a deserving recipient of this recognition.

Her story is one of professional growth and personal dedication, marked by her significant achievements and the impact she has made in the workers' compensation industry and managed care.

Eunice began her nursing career in 2003 at Advent Health, known to many as Florida Hospital. She worked in the Emergency Room, Cardiac/Multisystem Critical Care Unit, and the Operating Room. These early roles in high-intensity environments shaped her into a skilled and compassionate nurse. Additionally, she served as a preceptor to new nurse graduates, sharing her knowledge and fostering the development of future nurses.

In 2010, Eunice transitioned from a clinical setting to the corporate world by joining Travelers Insurance in Georgia. This move posed a significant challenge, but Eunice’s adaptability and determination helped her thrive. Reflecting on this transition, Eunice remarked, “It was a big learning curve for me going from a clinical setting to a corporate setting, but after the first year, all the dots started to connect.” Her roles in case management and utilization review services broadened her expertise and deepened her understanding of the workers' compensation field.

Eunice’s career path brought her back to Orlando in 2014, where she joined AmeriSys. Starting as a nurse case manager supervisor, she quickly made a mark with her dedication and leadership skills. By 2016, she was deeply involved with the Provider Relations department, where she contributed to significant growth and established partnerships with national networks and ancillary providers to meet AmeriSys’ clients' needs.

As Assistant Vice President at AmeriSys, Eunice oversees Provider Services, managing and coordinating provider network issues. She is also responsible for educating and training medical providers on workers' compensation state regulations and fee schedule requirements.

Additionally, she serves as the Quality Assurance Coordinator, ensuring that all medical management services comply with statutory regulations and deliver high-quality care to injured employees.

Eunice’s extensive nursing experience, including 20 years in the field and 14 years in workers' compensation, has equipped her with a unique perspective and the skills necessary to excel in her current role. Her background in cardiology, orthopedics, and surgery, both in hospital and outpatient surgical settings, has been invaluable to her work at AmeriSys.

Eunice’s dedication to her profession is matched by her commitment to her family. As a “boy mom,” she embraces adventurous activities like zip-lining and snowboarding, demonstrating her dynamic and resilient spirit.
