  • When did the Bloom awards begin?
The Bloom awards, formerly known as the IN TOUCH AWARD, began in 2011 by the founder Mari Diaz, who wanted to find a way to honor and celebrate the people in the workers' compensation industry.
  • Who can nominate for the Bloom awards?
Anyone who is part of the workers' compensation community can nominate a colleague, client, or themselves.
  • How Does The Selection & Voting Process Work?
Annually, nominations are open to workers' compensation professionals nationwide. Once all nominations are collected, a dedicated voting link is provided, allowing industry professionals to cast their votes for their preferred nominees. After the voting period concludes, the votes are collected and weighed by region. Subsequently, the results undergo review by our advisory board. It's essential to note that BLOOM does not select the winners of the Awards; they are determined solely by votes from individuals within the workers' compensation industry. To participate in the voting process, individuals must be BLOOM members.
  • If I win, how will I receive my award?
All winners are cordially invited to attend the gala along with a guest, at no cost. If you are unable to attend, your certificate will be emailed to you. Additionally, winners have the option to order a plaque from our website; this is entirely optional. Winners will also be entered into the BLOOM winner circle, which can be added to your email signature. All winners are notified in advance and are given the choice to attend the gala. Plus all winners will be featured in Bloom magazine!
  • Was there a hiatus in the Bloom Awards?
Unfortunately, in 2020, due to COVID-19, we had to put our annual gala on hold. However, thanks to overwhelming community feedback, we're thrilled to announce that the Bloom Gala will be back in person in December 2024!
  • Who attends the Gala?
All nominees and past nominees are invited to attend, and our guests typically include risk managers, adjusters, case managers, and professionals from all sectors of workers' compensation.
  • Does the gala support any cause?
Yes, every year we choose a different cause to support.
  • What makes Bloom Awards special?
Our award gala has earned the nickname "The Academy Awards" of the workers' compensation world because it's a night where our industry gets dressed in their best gowns and suits and celebrates red carpet style.
  • How do I get a ticket?
Tickets can be purchased on our website. Please Note: Free tickets are available for risk managers, adjusters, claims managers, case managers, and other claims handlers courtesy of our sponsors. If you are a service provider, you are required to purchase a ticket or sponsor to attend.
  • Are there sponsorships available?
Absolutely! We offer sponsorships tailored to fit all budgets. Our sponsors and community partners are the heartbeat of this event, and without their support, the gala wouldn't be possible. To become a sponsor, please email teambloom@ommktg.com for more information.
